Privacy Policy
What we collect, what your congregation's leaders can see, and what stays private to you.
1. Introduction
Leffel Consulting LLC ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") operates FaithfullyLearn (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: name, email address, password, and congregation membership
- Learning data: series enrollments, watch progress and resume positions, completions, certificates earned, and personal notes
- Church content: series, sessions, and media a congregation publishes to its channel or submits to the catalog
- Payment information: handled by our PCI-compliant payment processors; we do not store full card or bank numbers
- Communications: messages and support requests you send us
2.2 Collected Automatically
- Device and browser information
- IP address
- Usage information, such as which series are watched and for how long
- Cookies and similar technologies necessary for sign-in and preferences
3. How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Save each member's progress and issue certificates
- Process subscription billing
- Send administrative notices about the Service
- Respond to support requests
- Protect the Service against misuse
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.
4. Visibility Within Your Congregation
FaithfullyLearn is a congregational tool, and some information is visible inside your church: when a class or group is assigned a series, its leaders and church administrators can see member progress for that assignment (such as completion status). Personal notes are private to the member who wrote them.
5. Sharing of Information
We share information only with:
- Service providers that host and operate the platform (including Microsoft Azure) and process payments, under appropriate safeguards
- Your congregation, as described in Section 4
- Legal authorities, when required by law
If a congregation shares a series to the catalog, the series and the congregation's name are visible to other subscribing churches; member data is never part of a shared series.
6. Children
The kids area contains content for children, but accounts are created for and managed by congregation members and their families. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13; children use the Service through a parent's or congregation's account.
7. Data Security
Data is encrypted in transit, hosted on Microsoft Azure infrastructure, and protected by access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.
8. Data Retention and Your Choices
- Account and learning data is retained while your congregation's subscription is active
- You may update your account information in the app
- You may request deletion of your account by contacting us; some records may be retained where required for billing or legal purposes
- Churches may request an export of their own channel content
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to subscribing congregations, and the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
